Astrological Ages and 2012.

An astrological age is a time period in astrology which is believed by some
to parallel major changes in the Earth's inhabitants' development, particularly
relating to culture, society and politics. There are twelve astrological ages
corresponding to the twelve zodiacal signs in astrology. At the completion of
one cycle of twelve astrological ages, the cycle repeats itself. Astrological
ages occur because of a phenomenon known as the precession of the
equinoxes. One complete period of this precession is called a Great Year
or Platonic Year of about 25,860 years. Many ancient cultures from around
the world have known about the precession including Chinese, Greek,
Egyptian, Indian, Babylonian, and Incan cultures.
What is 2012?  In short, 2012 is a quickly approaching
year that has been associated with many theories, scientific
facts and prophecies of a coming global change.

The precession of the
equinoxes is caused by the
gravitational forces of the
Sun and the Moon, and to a
lesser extent other bodies,
on the Earth.  Precession is
often explained with the
example of a spinning top.
In both cases, the applied
force is due to gravity. For
a spinning top, this force
tends to be almost parallel
to the rotation axis. For the
Earth, however, the applied
forces of the Sun and the
Moon are nearly
perpendicular to the axis of
rotation.

2012 Heralds the Age of Aquarius

John Major Jenkins, the foremost Mayan
Cosmologist, believes that the Mayan Long
Count Calendar is based on precession of the
equinoxes and solstices. Jenkins believes that
the Maya related precession of the winter
solstice sunrise against the Milky Way - an
event which is currently developing and
supposedly instrumental in mankind's spiritual
renewal. On December 21st, 2012 AD the
horizon of Earth at the Equator will be entering
the Age of Aquarius.
Bronze Age
Ancient Mayans believed previous world ages have been destroyed before
According to the Popol Vuh, a book compiling details of creation accounts known to the K'iche' Maya of the
Colonial-era highlands, we are living in the fourth world. The Popol Vuh describes the first three creations that the
gods failed in making and the creation of the successful fourth world where men were placed. In the Maya Long Count,
the previous creation ended at the start of a 13th b'ak'tun (August 11, 3114 BC Gregorian Time).
The previous creation ended on a long count of 12.19.19.17.19. Another 12.19.19.17.19 will occur on December 20,
2012, followed by the start of the fourteenth b'ak'tun, 13.0.0.0.0, on December 21, 2012 AD.

Global Flood is recorded by nearly all
civilizations around this time. The Ancient
Mayans believed that modern man
replaced the previous society by the flood
in 3114 BC. In 2300 BC Noah's flood from
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam occurred.
The Book of Enoch adds to the Genesis
flood story by saying that God sent the
Great Flood to rid the earth of the
Nephilim, the titanic children of the
Grigori, the "sons of God" mentioned in
Genesis, and of human females.
The Clovis comet (really a large air
burst or earth impact of an object or
objects from outer space) initiated the
Younger Dryas cold spell around 8,000
BC. The air burst and/or earth impact
with a rare swarm of carbonaceous
chondrites or comets set vast areas of
the North American continent on fire,
causing the extinction of most of the
large animals in North America and the
demise of the earliest inhabitants of
North America.

Mainstream Scientific Explanation Answers How Previous
Ages Were Destroyed.

Alexander Tollmann's bolide,
proposed by Kristen-Tollmann
and Tollmann, is a hypothesis
presented by Austrian geologist
Dr. Alexander Tollmann,
suggesting that one or several
bolides (asteroids or comets)
struck the Earth at 7640 BC
(±200), with a much smaller one
at 3150 BC (±200). If true, this
hypothesis explains early
Holocene extinctions beginning
the Mayan Third World and
possibly legends of the Universal
Deluge or Great Flood that ended
the Mayan Third World and began
the Fourth World.
The claimed evidence for the
event includes stratigraphic
studies of tektites, dendrochronology, and ice cores (from Camp
Century, Greenland) containing hydrochloric and sulfuric acid
(indicating an energetic ocean strike) as well as nitric acids (caused
by extreme heating of air).
The 7640 BC evidence is consistent with the dates of formation of a
number of salt flats and lakes still extant in dry areas of North America
and Asia, suggesting that the strikes may have occurred in oceans,
causing multiple-kilometer-high waves that penetrated deeply into
continents, and/or causing large amounts of saltwater to be pushed
into orbit and fall down as rain, leaving salt lakes in deserts.
Many cultures past and present
believe in world ages which almost
always ended in global cataclysm.
The Mayan culture was not the only culture
that believed in past world ages that ended
in global cataclysm. Cultures from around
the globe have independent and varying
beliefs about such world ages. There is a
major consensus that we are either entering
the Fifth or Eight World Age.
Here is a table with various global cultures
and their belief about world ages.
